World Down Syndrome Day Celebration
World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is celebrated March 21 (3/21) of every year. On this day or close to it, we celebrate as a community with an activity. Help plan and organize this event.

New Parent Breakfast
Volunteer to help at our quarterly New Parent Breakfast! This event is designed to support new and expecting families joining the Down syndrome community. Duties may include helping with set up and clean up of event, meal prep and food table replenishment, hosting a craft table for children, and visiting with families.

Community Group Leaders
Help plan and implement quarterly activities for families who have a child with Down syndrome in your community. UDSF will provide training and a budget. The following communities are in need of a group leader or co-leaders:
(1) Salt Lake County
(2) Wasatch County
(3) Utah County -
Help find Sponsors and/or Golfers for the annual Cooper Bowden Memorial Golf Tournament held in September every year in Sandy, Utah.

Mighty Steps for Down Syndrome EXTRAvaganza
Help the Mighty Steps for Down Syndrome EXTRAvaganza committee in your community plan and implement the Mighty Steps annual event. UDSF has a walk every year in St George, Salt Lake Metro, and Cache County.

Young Adult Activities
Help plan and implement activities for adults (18+) with Down syndrome to promote friendship and inclusion. This program is currently only offered in Salt Lake, but UDSF is looking to expand this program into other communities.
UDSF would like to start a new program in Utah County and in St. George for Young Adults (18+) with Ds. UDSF is looking for a volunteer or volunteers to be the community group leader or co-leaders that would plan and implement quarterly activities. UDSF would provide funding, support, and training for this position.

Teen 21
We are looking for leaders and peer volunteers to help plan, coordinate, and attend the Teen 21 activities. Teen 21 is an activity group for ages 12-21. Monthly activities will allow teens with Down syndrome to meet up with new and old friends, to have fun and build relationships. Life is better with friends!
