* Funds UDSF's 30+ statewide community group outreach activities including our World Down Syndrome Day Celebrations, our Mighty Steps for Down Syndrome EXTRAvaganzas, and other quarterly activities.
* Supports parent educational programs such as UDSF's Down to Learn classes and Parent Education Conferences.
* Hosts 3 Financial Workshops with a Chartered Special Needs Consultant, providing guidance for special needs estate planning.
* Provides support to new and expectant parents of a child with Down syndrome.
* Sponsors Quarterly (4) New Parent Breakfasts, Gifts New Parent Care Packages, and provides the New & Expectant Resource Guide to families.
*Has over a dozen new parent mentors trained and available to assist families with the Down syndrome diagnosis.
* Sends over 900 members with Down syndrome a card and treat on their birthday.
* Provides hospital meal reimbursement to families with long hospital stays.
* Makes Peer Presentation Tool Kits available to elementary school parents and teachers to educate peers/students about Down syndrome.
* Sponsors monthly activities for adults and teens with Down syndrome that promote connection and friendship.
* Provides medical providers and hospitals with our New & Expectant Parent Resource Guide.
* Creates an online community through our Facebook and Instagram.
* Supports community outreach through our monthly newsletter, The LowDown.
* Hosts monthly MNO (Moms Night Out) for caregivers to receive support and friendship.
* Works with other service providers to offer their expertise, services, and support, inviting them to take part in our community events.
