Giving Tuesday
Your stories have inspired UDSF! This holiday season we are asking every family to donate a story. Specifically, share a moment when the generosity of someone made a difference in the life of your loved one with Down syndrome or when the generosity of your loved one with Down syndrome helped someone else.
Submit your story to the MyGivingStory contest sponsored by #GivingTuesday. The 20 non-profits that have the most votes for a story will be eligible to win grant money up to $10,000. In addition, the nonprofit that has the most story submissions can also win valuable grants. UDSF's goal is to win in both categories so it can use the awarded grant money to strengthen existing UDSF programs as well as create new ones for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
How to Submit Your Story:
1) Go to the MyGivingStory website by clicking the link below.
2) Once on the MyGivingStory website, click the green "Enter Now" button.
3) Enter your personal information.
4) List UDSF as your chosen nonprofit organization and include UDSF's website (udsf.org), our city (Salt Lake City), our state (Utah), and our zipcode (84110) *Your story does not need to be about UDSF for UDSF to be your chosen nonprofit.
5) Upload your 200 to 500-word essay with a picture of video then click submit.
6) Once your story has been submitted, you will receive an email from MyGivingStory with a link to your story.
7) Share this link with friends and family and post it on social media. Encourage others to vote through December 10th for your story as well as for other UDSF stories.
If you don't want to submit your story, you can still give by voting for the UDSF stories submitted by others. You can vote once a day, everyday, for each UDSF story until December 10th.
How to Vote:
1) Click the link below.
2) Scroll down to the gallery of stories.
3) Type UDSF in the search bar.
4) Click the green vote box for each UDSF story.
5) Use the button to share the story on your social media and encourage others to vote.
6) Repeat for other UDSF stories.
Each voter can vote for as many stories as they like in a given day, and can come back each day and vote for more stories and/or vote again for the same ones. The only limit is that each voter can vote for any particular story only once each day.
